God has really been direct about reminding me of his presence lately. Prayers I’ve prayed have been answered… a lot. One request in particular I had just finished praying when it was answered. My hands were still joined in prayer. While I always know God is real and he is with me there are certain moments like this when I am so struck with the reality of His presence that it causes me to both tremble and rejoice. I’m not one for outpourings of emotion - some people say I have a “quiet strength” others might say I’m boring - so for me to be overcome like that is really something.
So here’s what’s happening at the moment:
I’m preaching in front of the home crowd again on the 2nd of March. I originally had planned to preach on the Parable of the Prodigal Son but changed my mind after I had started writing. I’m now planning on preaching on Romans 3:19-26 - the Gospel in a nutshell. I’ll let you know how it goes. As usual the recording will be posted both here and on the Cahir Presbyterian Church website.
Twenty copies of the John’s Gospel arrived to my home from Eden.co.uk today. I’m planning on advertising locally and giving them away to anyone that wants one with an invitation to a Bible study series on John’s Gospel for that I’ll lead. I haven’t consulted Peter about this yet, I paid for these myself so he has no idea I’ve even bought the Gospels. I’m sure he’ll have some helpful advice for me on this. I’m really pleased with the quality of the copies and I’m very excited about getting more involved with the community in Cahir and quite literally sharing the Gospel with them.
There is another package on the way to my home too - a new banner for the church to celebrate Easter from CPO.co.uk. The other one looked great so I’m looking forward to putting this one up. I’m expecting it to arrive this week.
It’s all very exciting!
