Apprentice

“A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.” – Luke 6:40

About Me

I’m John, I work full time for a church as a Ministry Apprentice, which means I help out where I can, but my main area of focus is in discipling teenagers, helping them to know God and enjoy their walk with Him. I love it! I come from Clonmel, County Tipperary and I’ve been a Christian since February 2005. I’ve studied at the Irish Bible Institute and this blog was set up to journal my progress in the IBI’s Mentoring and Apprenticeship Programme which was a fantastic experience and helped me to gain practical ministry experience working with my church.

Although I’ve finished my studies at the IBI I plan to continue to blog here. I’ll still be an apprentice because that’s what being a Christian is about – being a disciple, a student, an apprentice of Jesus Christ.
